With over three decades of experience in the world of tennis, Muhabi Simunyola's journey is marked by a profound love for the sport and a commitment to nurturing young talent. From his early days competing in regional and national tournaments to representing Zambia on the junior ITF tennis teams, Muhabi's passion for tennis has remained unwavering.
As a certified PTR Pro, Muhabi's dedication to learning and development shines through his diverse coaching certifications, including 10 & Under, 11 to 17, and Performance Specialization coaching. His affinity for junior player development has been a driving force throughout his coaching career.
In the United States, Muhabi's coaching journey took flight at the Kela Tennis Academy, where he discovered the joy of coaching while honing his skills with junior players. His tenure there exposed him to a variety of coaching experiences, including working with highly ranked juniors and women's teams across various USTA ratings.
Muhabi later joined the coaching staff at Alley Pond Tennis Center before finding his home at the Maximum Tennis Development Zone (MTDZ). For over eight years, Muhabi has been an integral part of the High-Performance coaching staff at College Racquet Club and MTDZ, where he continues to inspire and mentor aspiring tennis players.
Muhabi believes in the individuality of each student and tailors his coaching approach to their specific goals and needs. He sees every moment on the tennis court as an opportunity for character building, self-confidence, and growth. Through his coaching, Muhabi instills in his students a sense of boldness towards challenges, fostering not only tennis skills but also important life lessons.
